The recent flooding event in South Louisiana also impacted the Acadiana region. Aerial photos posted by The Advocate show high water in areas in Lafayette Parish.

We’ve put together some quick references to both assist and benefit our members in the Acadiana Region.
REGISTER WITH FEMA
Like all Louisiana residents, those who sustained storm or flood damage in Acadiana should register with FEMA for federal disaster assistance. You can register online or by phone at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).
Donations
Acadiana Disaster Response Fund
The Community Foundation of Acadiana has created the Acadiana Disaster Response Fund. The fund will benefit South Louisianans who have been affected.
Flood the Love
United Way of Acadiana is accepting both volunteers and donations. Flood the Love is the chapter’s donations drive for the Acadiana area. Donations will be distributed to Acadiana residents affected by the recent flooding.
FoodNet
Lafayette area Food Bank FoodNet is accepting donations of food and funds to help restock its warehouse. You can drop off donations at the FoodNet warehouse located at 217 Surrey Street, Lafayette, on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. You can also donate online.
