See Your Doctor As Often As You Need

June 12, 2018

Getting the right care at the right time and in the right place is important for your family’s health. That’s why our members enjoy unlimited doctor visits – and that includes urgent care visits!

You don’t have to wait until you’re sick to see your doctor.

Getting regular care from your doctor keeps you healthy. As a Louisiana Healthcare Connections member, you can see your doctor as often as you need to. Your doctor will provide you with preventive care services, like flu shots, health screenings and immunizations, to make sure you stay healthy. Remember: As a member, you can earn cash rewards for getting certain preventive care services!

You can visit an Urgent Care clinic any time you feel sick.

We can’t plan for illnesses, and sometimes, we get sick when our doctor’s office is closed. As a Louisiana Healthcare Connections, you don’t have to wait for regular business hours, and you don’t have to sit in an Emergency Room when you don’t feel well. You can visit an urgent care clinic for illnesses that aren’t emergencies.

We’ll give you a ride to get there.

No need to worry about finding someone to drive you to a medical appointment or paying a taxi to get you there. As a Louisiana Healthcare Connections member, you have access to free transportation to any Medicaid-covered medical appointment – even urgent care.

We’re here to help you get the right care in the right place.

Not sure if you need to go to an Urgent Care or the Emergency Room? Have a question about your medication? As a Louisiana Healthcare Connections member, you need only to call our 24/7 Nurse Advice Line. We have a team of Registered Nurses standing by to answer your questions and help you get the care you need – any time.
