Our Members Earn Rewards For Prenatal Care


If you’re an expectant mom, you have special needs and want more from your health plan. You want access to caring doctors, transportation to your prenatal appointments, and helpful text reminders for healthy pregnancies. Louisiana Healthcare Connections offers these benefits and more – like rewards for prenatal and postnatal care that you can spend.

We reward our members for healthy behaviors!

All Louisiana Healthcare Connections members – even children – earn rewards through our My Health Pays rewards program for completing certain doctor visits and screenings. Learn more about what your My Health Pays rewards can buy!

For pregnant and new moms, health rewards include:

  • Pregnant women earn $10 for each prenatal visit, up to 11 visits. That’s $110 for completing regular prenatal care!
  • Pregnant moms also earn $30 when they complete our Notification of Pregnancy form to let us know they’re expecting.
  • And new moms earn $50 when they see their OB/GYN within 12 weeks of giving birth.

That’s a total of up to $190 for getting the care you need to help you and your baby be healthy.

Your baby earns rewards, too!

For completing their well-child visits at 2, 4, 6, 9, 12 and 15 months, your little one receives $30 on their own My Health Pays rewards card. Learn more about the other healthy rewards your family can earn through our My Health Pays program.

We have more benefits for pregnant women!

In addition to unlimited visits to your OB/GYN and full pregnancy healthcare coverage, Louisiana Healthcare Connections members can enjoy extra benefits like our Start Smart For Your Baby program. It’s free for pregnant members and new moms. Once enrolled, you get tips on how to have a healthy pregnancy and reminders for prenatal and postpartum care in the mail and by phone. To help babies get a healthy start, our members receive a crib / playpen and safe sleep kit before their due date, and free access to the Start Smart Louisiana mobile app.
